I want to be able to do screen shots of the focused by pressing a button. Should be easy.
Screen Focus 1 0 18 Inch
First try: scrot
0=enable Climate Control Repeater for Dual Climate Control, 1=disable CCR, 2=enable CCR for Single Climate Control, 3=disable CCR, 4=E8 Program (RS default=1) yes 40. Windows 10’s “Focus Assist” feature is a “Do Not Disturb” mode that hides notifications. Windows automatically activates it when you’re playing PC games or mirroring your display—and you can have Windows automatically activate it on a schedule, too. (since it seems to be the most recomended tool for screenshots in i3wm)
Whole screen
bindsym XF86Display exec 'scrot ~/Downloads/Screenshot%Y-%m-%d%H:%M:%S.png'
Works fine Cover desk 1 00.
Focussed Window
Well.. Some people in the internet seem to think there is a -u flag for scrot but in the yum-installed Fedora version (0.8) there definitely is not. Bad luck.
Second try: ImageMagick
![Focus Focus](https://www.pinoytechnoguide.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/05/Cherry-Mobile-Omega-Lite-4.jpg)
(since many people tell me it can do anything I want)
Whole screen
bindsym XF86Display exec 'import -window root ~/Downloads/Screenshot$(date +%F%H:%M:%S).png'
The date is not as elegant as in scrot, works fine though.
Screen Focus 1 0 18 Mm
Focussed window
Tricky. I don't know the id of the focused window. Mashup 2 5 1. But there is a workaround:
import -window
xwininfo | awk '/.*Window id:.*/ {print $4}'
~/Downloads/Screenshot$(date +%F%H:%M:%S).pngI can click on the window I want to screenshot and there we go. A bit of a hack (found here: http: //www .trueelena.org/computers/howto/screenshotswithimagemagick.html ), but anyway. Works in the console. But in i3config:
Screen Focus 1 0 18 0
bindsym XF86Display exec 'import -window
xwininfo | awk '/.*Window id:.*/ {print $4}'
~/Downloads/Screenshot$(date +%F%H:%M:%S).png'Doesn't work. I am asked to click on a window, but no screenshot is saved. I am not sure why.
Could someone give me a hand, please?

Focus assist (also called quiet hours in earlier versions of Windows 10) allows you to avoid distracting notifications when you need to stay focused, and is set by default to activate automatically under certain conditions. Here's how to turn focus assist on or off: Viewit 2 50 – image viewer.
- Select the action center icon on the taskbar.
- Select Focus assist to cycle through the available settings: either Priority Only, Alarms Only, or Off. (If you don't see the Focus assist tile, you may need to select Expand first.)
- Focus assist settings can also be edited by selecting Start > Settings > System > Focus assist, or type Focus assist into the search box on the taskbar, and then select Focus assist settings from the list of results.
